“To move, to breathe, to fly, to float, to gain all while you give, to roam the roads of lands remote, to travel is to live”
- H.C. Andersen
Our second trip to Scotland took us back to the Cairngorms, where we went fully off-grid and embraced everything that makes the Highlands so special. Waking up to crisp, freezing mornings, we hiked through fresh snow, climbed up into the mountains, and even stumbled across a hidden pyramid in the middle of the forest. The views were unreal wide open landscapes, golden winter hue, and those moments where you just have to stop and take it all in.
The windscreen didn’t make it, the generator had its moments, and the cold was relentless but that’s all part of the adventure. No Northern Wind trip would be complete without a few unexpected twists. Between it all, we kept up with life admin, cooked up warm meals under the stars, and embraced the highs and lows of being out there. Trips like this remind us why we love exploring wild places, pushing through whatever comes our way, and making memories that we’ll be talking about for years.
